Added some cool features to the sidebars. 1. Items of Interest from my Google Reader (on the right). 2. My Shelfari Books of Interest (on the left). Also blogged a video from the set of OTIS, check it out! And, soon, very soon, there may be good news indeed! Keep those fingers crossed!

New Host, New Look, Here We Go!

October 20, 2007 Add a comment

Well, as promised, I am putting the site back online today. I still have much to do to it as the transfer from wordpress.com wasn’t has smooth as intended. I lost all the categories and comments for all my posts (luckily there is only 40 or so or them). To those who had posted comments, thank you! Sorry that they are no longer available. Feel free to repost them!

So, it was with much joy and anticipation that I signed up with HostPapa, a 100% Green Powered Host. A pretty good deal too for three years of hosting and more than needed storage and bandwidth.

blog.bostinchristopher.com

(Update: As of October 2007, I have updated myself and mysite to self-hosting. I still use Wordpress for site management tho, and the blog.bostinchristopher.com address would still work as it has been forwarded to www.bostinchristopher.com)

Not that anyone noticed, but http://www.bostinchristopher.com was basically forwarded to my wordpress blog.  I had been toying with the idea of using wordpress.com new domain mapping feature to map my domain here, but if I mapped the main domain, then suddenly email wouldn’t work anymore (MX records are not supported by wordpress.com as of yet). I finally decided though to map a sub-domain. http://blog.bostinchristopher.com is now the location of these pages.

Exciting new content on the site…Box.net, VodPod and Phanfare…

Well, wordpress.com (the underlying content management system for my blog/site) has added a few new little items of interest for everyone to use.

1. First up, Box.net. They are an online storage and sharing site that I have had an account with for sometime, but wasn’t sure what to do with it. Well, they now have widgets, which allow you share whatever files, songs, pictures, etc. that you would like. So, on the left handside, you will now see my Box widget. It’s a bit thin as I want it to fit inside the sidebar.
